Day one in the studio with the guys. We’ve got a 10 track album all mapped out. Drums, melodica, and keys are done for “Caught A Cloud” and “Television” are done. They sound AWESOME!
Bryguy yelled out “pickledick!” before starting a piani part. SO FUNNY!
All lined up and tracking!
I can’t say enough about how talented these guys are. It’s so much fun and soooo easy to work with such incredible musicians! It’s one of the first times I’ve been in a band where I’m not better than most of the musicians. Not to sound conceited…it just feels wonderful to be around musicians that I can learn from and push me to be better! These guys are really good at their stuff, and we can all play one or two(or more) instruments , yes that means you Tom! Drums and percussion are different instruments to me, since I’ve realized I’m not as good as percussion as I thought I was! Yay room to grow!
It’s also cool to see a few of the guys getting their first or second time in the studio. Hopefully I’ll be able to teach them some of the random stuff that I’ve learned from working with Megan over the past million years.
In other news, Jeff wrote my “About”, so that’ll be finalized and posted soon(maybe tonight depending on how much I get into NBA Live 09)!
Wahoo! I feel complete now that music is %100 back in my life. It’s a wonderful feeling.

Friday’s show a Brew’d Awakening was wonderful! Sooooo much fun. We got invited back to play a full set, details below. We also managed to snag a show at Life Alive. We’re 4 for 4 in playing shows and then getting asked back to play again! As for the Life Alive show, we weren’t even playing! We were eating dinner! ahhaah. We’re playing another open mic in Groton, Ma at the end of the month, and again at Tupelo next month. More deets soon!

The Fitted Shirt will be here to record in my studio next weekend. We’re going to start tracking drums for a few of the hitz. We love music, yay music!
Now that playing shows seems to be routine, I bought a new acoustic electric yesterday. It’s beeeauuutifulll!!!! SEE!

As for the interesting feeling part. Now that I have music back in my life, when I get home after a show or the next day, I feel very alone. It’s a new sort of alone feeling. I believe that music is always a part of me, but nothing can compare to the feeling of sharing it on stage. It’s almost like I settle into the old me when I’m back home, but my brain thinks, “Don’t do that! You’re awesome now, remember?!?!?!”. A very, very interesting feeling.
I know exactly what is missing, I’m just not sure how to get to it.

Hey There!
Last nights show at Tupelo was GREAT. REALLY good reception from the crowd, they absolutely loved us. We have a really good things going with this acoustic set up. Danman played electric and I played acoustic and they sound PERFECT together. Bryan played the baby grand for “Not Alone” and it sounded incredible. What a great place to play. Lots of cool people too. Pics soon!
